 | PACK 188 NEWSLETTER March 31, 2011 | |
Congratulations to the Webelos II Rattlesnake Patrol that we saw cross over to four different Boy Scout Troops last month at our Annual Blue and Gold Banquet. Thanks goes out to all that helped plan and execute this years Blue and Gold.
This month marks our first attempt at going somewhat paperless. Our pack news will be distributed electronically now. Check back at our website
http://cubpack188.com and check out the
Events and Newsletter pages for up to date information. Our pack
calendar is kept up to date with the latest event information as well. For those of you on Facebook, we have started a Facebook page that will also try to keep everyone informed, check it out at
https://www.facebook.com/pages/CubPack188/400306453377.
At this month's meeting we heard from "Queen Robin" from Quail Hill Cub Scout summer camp. Boys that attended last summer had a great deal of fun, as the camp has been "redesigned" with less trudging around the camp to perform activities. Information booklets were distributed and can also be found
here.
We also distributed our Scouting for Food bags for collecting non-perishable foods for those less fortunate. Please bring your bags with non-perishable food items to the April pack meeting on April 28.
There are several events in the coming months that were mentioned at the meeting. More information can be found on the Event / Handout page.
The Battleground District Pinewood Derby finals will be held on April 16. Each rank (Tiger/Wolf/Bear/Webelos I / Webelos II) will send a scout from our pack to the races. Good Luck Boys.
Marlboro Beatification Day is on May 21
The Pack 188 Family Picnic will be held again at Quail Hill Scout Reservation. This is where we hold our annual Raingutter regatta race and have great outdoor fun. The cost is $6/person. See the flyer at the
event information page.
Monmouth Council Family Camp is the weekend of June 18-June 19, and it too has a flyer at the
event information page.
The Pack Committee meeting for April is scheduled for April 11. We are still looking for volunteers for all kinds of positions. Keep an eye on the website for further information on how you can help the pack and help your son.
